Busy - Busy - Busy
Of course, in my position of Recruiting Manager, this assures a steady stream of openings that I need to stay on top of. Lots of pressure and stress, but hey, that is why I am here isn't it??!!
If I wanted an easy job, I would mow grass or something like that!!
We contine to hire a good number of new consultants and I expect that our goal is to add another 15-20 between now and the end of the year. I also think that our level of activity for the next couple of years is going to remain about the same. So my 10-12 hour days and working on Saturdays continue to be a way of life for me.
Urgent needs I am still chasing candidates for include: 1)Technical Development Staff, 2)HRMS Functional Staff, 3) Apps DBAs and 4) one more Projects/Grants Management Functional person. Ongoing needs where if I see someone who looks good we can always hire include: 1)Project Manager, 2)FinApps Functional Staff, and 3) CRM Functional Staff.
From what I read and hear from other recruiters that are both dealing with Oracle Apps and just general IT needs, everyone is REALLY busy right now. I guess that is a good sign for Bush and the economy.
