I think most recruiters will tell you that recruiting is not an easy job. But remove the general nature of most recruiting jobs; add a very narrow technology focus and it gets even more difficult. This is my blog - about my experiences as a Recruiter working in the Oracle Apps Consulting Niche - narrowed down further to just hiring experienced full-time salaried staff.

Since August of 2004 I have been working as Recruiting Manager for AST Corporation, a national Oracle Apps focused IT consulting firm with headquarters in Naperville, IL. Prior to AST, I had a similar role with DTI, located in the loop in downtown Chicago and before then was Director of Staffing Services and Recruiting Manager for USI, a regional IT Services and Staffing firm based out of Detroit, MI. I have also held positions in recruitment and branch/operations management roles at Inforizons, Sykes Enterprises, Johnson Service Group, Volt Technical Services and other national and international IT and Technical Staffing organizations. My experience in the IT and Technical staffing industry span better than 20 years and my achievements have been numerous. My last 7-8 years of pure IT Recruiting activities will hopefully prepare me as I transition into this niche recruiting area that AST focuses on – experienced Oracle Apps Implementation Consultants who want full-time salaried positions.
