Back from vacation

Oh my gosh!! I was actually able to pry myself away from work for 10 days to do a road trip with my wife across 9 states and I left my computer home and only checked messages 2 times during the whole trip. That was probably the most healthy vacation I have taken in years and I am sure my wife appreciated the fact that I was able to totally put work aside for this time instead of plugging in the computer all hours of the night to stay in touch with candidates and to work my job openings.

But, back in the grind again and I am also happy to be back at work. Recruiting can be a hard and frustrating business but I really enjoy the whole process and I get a great sense of self satisfaction when we hire a good consultant.

With the hires we confirmed before my vacation our needs have slowed down some other than a couple of new projects that will require me to find a local Chicago Apps DBA and then endeavor to source an experience Public Sector Budgeting Functional Consultant who is willing to come on board as a salaried staff member instead of as a project contractor. It surprises me how few consultants seem to specialize in this area and how hard they are to find when we want to add someone.
