Some Breathing Room - But Still Busy

We find ourselves in a little slow period but I guess that is not unusual for an election year. Not to make a political forum out of this, but I do believe a WHOLE lot of how our economy does in the coming year(s) will depend greatly on who we elect in November. Right now my opinion is that it is dangerously going in the wrong direction and a very definite change is needed.

When is big, too big? Deloitte just bought Solbourne and not too long ago bought Xcelicor. Of course, not being privy to the details, I have to wonder what strategic value these bring to Deloitte, other than eliminating competition. Maybe from a staffing perspective, if you can't hire from your competition, Buy Them!! Oh well, life in the Oracle Apps arena!!

Consulting Services Sales/Business Development candidates -- where are you?

I am really surprised how difficult it is to find really qualified BDM candidates who have sold Implementation/Consulting services. We are adding to our sales staff and it is really disappointing to see the quality of most candidates who contact me about our openings.
