So Busy - So Stressed - So Many Changes!!
Although it has been a good number of years since I last had a home office (Indonesia - 1992), I am looking forward to this change and challenge. Not being an overly gregarious person, I have no problem keeping myself busy. And as other staffing professionals have experienced this, I am actually expecting my productivity to increase.
However, the initial hassle of setting up a separate phone line, getting all the printing and other computer equipment I'll need to be productive is proving to be time consuming which stresses me out as I have so much to do here at the office to support our current needs before I take time off to move as get everything set up.
My wife has been kind enough to follow me around the last 6 years as my jobs took me from St. Louis to Detroit and here to Chicago. Now I get to follow her with her new in Albuquerque. How fortunate that AST was agreeable to this move and in letting me set up a home office so I didn't have to find a new job.
I think that anyone currently in the Oracle Apps Industry will attest to the fact that Oracle HR seems to be just super hot right now. We have a number of projects coming up in the next few months that will create needs for us for an additional 4-6 experienced functional staff. However, with the market in this area currently being so hot, a large percentage of the available candidates will only work on a contract basis and some even laugh at me when I try to convince them of the benefits of joining us in a salaried role.
Other, soon to be urgent needs I continue to work on include:
***Oracle Projects/Grants Functional Consultants
***Oracle PSB/EPB Functional Consultants
***Apps DBA and Technical Development Consultants
